Plan an off-grid farm monitoring project
Agree the water, soil or weather readings, equipment, battery or solar supply, data connection and service responsibilities.
Compare what you need us to deliver
| Scope | What the proposal covers | What is agreed before work |
|---|---|---|
| Equipment selection | Sensor, acquisition device, interfaces and accessories | Selected configuration, quantity and applicable documents |
| Field pilot | Named points and agreed checks before expansion | What is checked, local work, test record and remaining questions |
| Integration and handover | Receiving platform, mapped data and operational access | Account ownership, included work, service charges and support |
Equipment supply, pilot tests and integration services
One device or a replacement
Review the model, electrical interface, power and accessories before confirming equipment and price.
A pilot or whole-farm BOM
Define measurement points, equipment quantities, field power, communications and staged rollout requirements.
Software and data integration
Agree platform access, data fields, timestamps, views, notifications and acceptance checks when required.
How the quotation takes shape
- Discuss the complete requirement and existing equipment.
- Confirm the equipment configuration, BOM and equipment prices.
- Agree local installation scope and costs with your contractor or a local team we help contact.
- Confirm the final quotation, responsibilities and delivery checks before proceeding.
Who does the on-site work?
SunGene does not perform on-site construction or installation. We can help contact and coordinate local contractors. Equipment, software integration and local work are recorded as separate responsibilities in the agreed scope.
Site and equipment details to send
- What must be known between visits, and how often can the site be maintained?
- What power, shade, seasonal weather and mounting conditions are known?
- Which country, radio/network availability and reporting interval apply?
Equipment planning and a field trial
- A measurement and visit-interval brief for each farm point.
- A power and communication proposal based on the equipment load, coverage and sunlight at the site.
- A field pilot with battery/solar observations, missing-data checks and maintenance criteria.
Conditions to confirm
- Battery runtime and days without solar charging depend on the selected equipment, reporting interval and local conditions.
- Check radio reception, seasonal shading and sensor power consumption at the installation point.
- Local logging and recovery after a link outage are confirmed for the selected model and platform.
Discuss off-grid farm measurements.
A work email helps, but is not required. Unknown quantity is fine. A cabinet, panel or site photo is the most useful attachment.
- How often someone can visit.
- What must still be known between visits.
- Battery, solar, or still unknown.
- Country or region, for radio band later.

Worksheets and existing project guidance
Off-grid telemetry worksheet
Use the existing CSV worksheet to keep each point’s measurements, power, reporting and service visits together.
How the off-grid sizing works
Define the measurement, site access and receiving data service, then compare equipment and agree a pilot and quotation.
Agriculture and weather-station hardware shortlist
